Over 150 zany characters (played by a cast of 4), an on-stage plane crash, handcuffs, missing fingers and some good old fashioned romance In The 39 Steps, a man with a boring life meets a woman with a thick accent who says she’s a spy. When he takes her home, she is murdered. Soon, a mysterious organization called “The 39 Steps” is hot on the man’s trail in a nationwide manhunt that climaxes in a death-defying finale!

Richard Hannay – The Hero. About 40. A dashing, dapper, Bristish-Canadian chap.
Annabella Schmidt/Margaret/Pamela – The three female leads, played by ONE actress, Annabella is German, Margaret is Scottish, and Pamela is English
Clown 1 & Clown 2 – Played by TWO men; these actors play close to combined one hundred and fifty characters of differing accents and genders throughout the performance
2017 - 2018 SEASON SPONSORS
The Lucille Ball Little Theatre of Jamestown kicks off its 81st season with the comedy, “Send Me No Flowers” with performances on Jan. 26, 27 and 28, as well as Feb. 2, 3 and 4. The next performance, “The 39 Steps,” will take place on March 9, 10 and 11 as well as March 16, 17 and 18. “Jesus Christ Superstar” will be held on April 20, 21 and 22 as well as April 27, 28 and 29. The musical comedy “Are We There Yet” will be performed on June 1, 2, 3 and June 8, 9 and 10. The season will conclude with “Mamma Mia” with shows on Oct. 12, 13 and 14 as well as Oct. 19, 20 and 21. All performances are at 7:30PM except for Sunday performances which are at 2:00PM.
